A Stormy Start, but Bright Spirits
The day began with heavy clouds and the kind of storm radar that makes everyone nervously refresh their weather apps. But as guests started to arrive, the joyful energy completely outshined the gray skies. Inside the chapel, the tall windows and crisp white walls created a calm, light-filled setting. Despite the weather’s best efforts, nothing could dampen the excitement. That’s the thing about weddings—the joy always wins.
A Family That Feels Like Home
This wasn’t my first time with Hailey’s family. Not long ago, I had the honor of photographing another wedding for them. Being invited back felt like stepping into a reunion with old friends—minus the awkward small talk. As a Gallatin, TN wedding photographer, building relationships like this is one of my favorite parts of the job. Watching families grow, reconnecting with familiar faces, and being trusted to capture those big milestones—it’s the good stuff.
The Sky Clears for Golden Hour
Just when we thought the storms were here to stay, the clouds decided to take a break. Golden hour arrived, and we sprinted outside like kids chasing the ice cream truck. The payoff was magic. Hailey’s dress shimmered, Alec’s grin never faded, and the glow wrapped everything in warmth. These were the portraits photographers dream about. As a Gallatin, TN wedding photographer, moments like these feel like hitting the jackpot.
A Sparkler Send-Off to Remember
The night ended with sparklers, laughter, and some enthusiastic waving that probably should’ve come with a safety briefing. It was the perfect send-off—joyful, bright, and a little chaotic in the best way.
Even with a stormy start, Hailey and Alec’s wedding turned into a day where every moment mattered. From the quiet anticipation in the chapel to the golden light at sunset, it was unforgettable.
