Hailey and Alec’s wedding day at The Chapel at Three Oaks in Gallatin, TN was the perfect blend of elegance, emotion, and a little Tennessee weather drama. As a Gallatin TN wedding photographer, I’ve learned that when unexpected rain rolls in, it often sets the stage for the most unforgettable moments—and this day was no exception.

A Stormy Start, but Bright Spirits

At first, the day started with heavy clouds and the threat of storms. However, as guests began to arrive and the ceremony drew near, the joyful energy quickly overshadowed the gray skies. Inside the chapel, the crisp white walls and tall windows created a peaceful, light-filled space. Despite the weather, you could feel the excitement buzzing—nothing could dampen the mood.

A Family That Feels Like Home

Even more meaningful, this wasn’t my first time with Hailey’s family. I had the honor of photographing another wedding for them not long ago. So, being invited back truly felt like coming home. Without a doubt, one of the best parts of being a wedding photographer in Gallatin TN is getting to build those kinds of lasting relationships. Watching families grow and reconnecting with familiar faces makes the experience incredibly special.

The Sky Clears for Golden Hour

Then, just as the day began to wind down, the clouds finally parted. Golden hour light poured across the landscape, and we didn’t waste a moment. We rushed outside, and what followed was pure magic. Hailey’s dress shimmered, Alec’s smile never faded, and the soft glow wrapped everything in warmth. These were the kind of portraits you dream about.

A Sparkler Send-Off to Remember

Finally, the night ended with a tunnel of sparklers, laughter, and the kind of joyful celebration that lingers long after the lights go out. It was the perfect close to a timeless day filled with love.

Even with the stormy start, Hailey and Alec’s wedding turned into one of those rare days where every moment felt meaningful—from the quiet anticipation inside the chapel to the golden light at sunset. It’s a day I’ll always remember.
