Where It All Began

Foster Falls isn’t just a gorgeous backdrop for photos—it’s also the spot where Gabe got down on one knee and asked Emmy to marry him. So of course it made perfect sense to come back here for their engagement session. The waterfall roared in the background, and you could just feel how special this place is for them.

Hiking Down (and Back Up!)

The hike into the gorge is beautiful, with tree-lined paths and the sound of rushing water getting louder as you go. Going down feels like a breeze, but the hike back up? Let’s just say my legs were reminding me why trail mix is a valid food group. Emmy and Gabe handled it like champs, smiling the whole way—which, as a Tennessee photographer, is the dream.

Rope Bridge Adventures

At the bottom, we made our way across the rope bridge. Emmy laughed with every step while Gabe played it cool, though I’m pretty sure there was some wobble action happening. It made for the kind of candid, real moments that truly capture a couple’s personality.

Walking the Log Like Pros

And then came my half-joking request: “Want to walk across that fallen log?” Without hesitation, they were up for it. Emmy kicked off her shoes, Gabe followed, and together they balanced their way across the stream. It was adventurous, a little silly, and absolutely perfect.

Why This Session Was So Special

Being a Tennessee engagement photographer means I get to witness stories like Emmy and Gabe’s—full of adventure, laughter, and love. Their Foster Falls session wasn’t just about pretty photos; it was about celebrating the place where their forever started.
