As a Franklin engagement photographer, I’ve learned that flexibility is key — especially during Tennessee winters! We originally had their engagement photos scheduled during Nashville’s historic ice storm, but for obvious reasons, we had to reschedule. Although I have experience coming from WA state with wintery weather conditions, I don’t mess around with driving on ice!
The day we met in historic downtown Franklin, the sun was shining brightly, even though the wind still carried a winter chill. Downtown Franklin offers so much charm for engagement photography. From its brick sidewalks to its beautiful historic architecture. Every corner feels timeless and romantic, making it a dream location for couples preparing for a spring wedding.

Austin is a firefighter (just like my husband!) which made this session especially meaningful to me. There’s something so admirable about the dedication, strength, and heart required for that career. It creates a bond of understanding that goes beyond the photos themselves.

We wrapped up their Franklin engagement session at Harlinsdale Farm, and it was absolutely worth the chilly breeze.
